Elizabeth A. Dale, MD

Elizabeth Dale, MD, graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in 2001 where she earned her bachelor’s degree. Her education continued when she attended Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons. Upon graduation, she was awarded the Samuel and Beatrice Leib Memorial Prize in Ophthalmology. Dr. Dale then completed an internship at Saint Joseph's Hospital Health Center, which was followed by her ophthalmology residency at Columbia University Medical Center's Edward S. Harkness Eye Institute. During her final year of residency, she served as Chief Resident. After completing a clinical glaucoma fellowship through the University of Miami's Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in 2015, Dr. Dale joined Ophthalmic Partners.

Dr. Dale’s expertise includes medical and surgical management of glaucoma as well as cataract surgery. This includes traditional glaucoma surgical techniques and lasers as well as state of the art “MIGS” (minimally invasive glaucoma surgery) techniques.

Dr. Dale is an Assistant Surgeon on the Glaucoma Service at Wills Eye Hospital and a Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology at Thomas Jefferson Medical College. In this role, Dr. Dale is responsible for clinical and surgical training of residents and fellows. Each year, she serves as an instructor for the American Academy of Ophthalmology annual trabeculectomy surgery course.

She is board certified with the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), American Glaucoma Society (AGS), Greater Philadelphia Ophthalmic Society (GPOS), and Women in Ophthalmology (WIO).

Dr. Dale is fluent in Spanish.
