Geoffrey P. Schwartz, MD

Dr Geoffrey Schwartz, MD is a graduate of Bowdoin College and Columbia University. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson Medical College and completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Wills Eye Hospital.  He went on to complete a glaucoma fellowship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, FL. Wills Eye Hospital and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute have been ranked Top 3 in the US News & World Report each year since the ranking came out in 1990.  He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.  He has published several book chapters on glaucoma as well as multiple articles on Ophthalmology in peer reviewed Journals. He lectures locally and nationally on glaucoma to fellow physicians and patients. He is a member of the American Glaucoma Society, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical society. He is on the medical staff of Wills Eye Hospital, where he teaches residents and medical students, the Montgomery Surgical Center, and Abington Lansdale Hospital.  He is a surgeon in the Department of Glaucoma at Wills Eye Hospital.  Dr Schwartz’s areas of interest are in the medical, laser, and surgical treatment of glaucoma, cataract and intraocular lens surgery, and anterior segment surgery of the eye.
