Nickolas J. Shissias, OD
Dr. Shissias a native of Northfield, New Jersey, received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Salus University. During his externship rotations he received honors for Primary Care, Ocular Disease and Hospital/Ocular Disease management and was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa optometric honor society. Before optometry school, he received his bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Delaware.
Dr. Shissias’ clinical training includes diagnosis and management of ocular disease, specialty contact lens fitting, pediatric and geriatric eye exams, and comprehensive primary care optometry. During his external clinical rotations, he trained at Select Eye Care in Baltimore, MD, and Charleston Eye in Charleston, SC, and Lyons Veterans Hospital in Lyons, NJ. Dr. Shissias has helped co-author a poster that was accepted by the American Optometry Association.
During his free time, he enjoys working out, cooking, traveling, and cheering on Philadelphia sports teams.
